When they attempted to register a First Information Report with the police, the station house officer reportedly refused to act. After families of disappeared persons had launched a march from Quetta to Islamabad to raise awareness about enforced disappearances on 27 October 2013, two of Mr. Baloch’s brothers were reportedly beaten and warned by personnel of State intelligence agencies that he should stop his activities. In March 2014, after attending a hearing at the Supreme Court in Islamabad, Mr. Baloch was also threatened by personnel of State intelligence agencies.
