United Nations team of joint human rights officers, accompanied by their MONUSCO military escort, was threatened by soldiers of the Forces Armées de la République Démocratique du Congo (FARDC) soldiers. FARDC soldiers and Police Nationale Congolaise agents were posted outside the hotel where the United Nations team stayed, presumably to monitor the team’s movement and to identify persons coming to visit the team.
