In January 2023, a civil society representative, Ms. Aminata Dicko, briefed the Security Council.51 In his statement to the Council, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of Mali questioned Ms. Dicko’s credibility. 52 Following her briefing, Ms. Dicko faced a smear campaign and verbal attacks on social media53 and a criminal complaint that included the video of her statement to the Council as evidence. 90.
