On 11 February 2011, Mr. Ali, accompanied by Kirity Roy, the Secretary of MASUM, went to the District Court to surrender. Mr. Ali filed a petition before the Court for anticipatory bail, which was granted with a bond of 3,000 Indian rupees. On 14 February, the Court granted another anticipatory bail to Mr. Ali in relation to another complaint filed by the Border Security Force with a bond of 5,000 Indian rupees.
