In his press statement at the end of the review, the Chair of the Venezuelan delegation reportedly questioned the participation of certain organizations in the review, accusing them of drawing financial benefit from their participation in international human rights forums. On 3 and 4 June, the President of the National Assembly, in his television programme “Con el Mazo Dando”, reportedly criticized and disclosed personal information about several organizations and human rights defenders, including Mr. Uzcátegui, concerning their engagement with the Committee.
